A company in the automotive industry sought MecanoLav’s expertise for cleaning fuel injectors.
Our project was based on the degreasing of parts with a diameter of 3 mm. Our goal was to clean the entire interior of the injector. This part is degreased to verify the internal integrity of the circuit before proceeding to final assembly.
The machine’s cleaning process targets the part from within a chamber that has been designed and adjusted to fit the parts. The cleaning nozzles are fixed and cover 360° of the part for external washing and drying.
The machine was designed using a specific pallet for five different part numbers.
A flushing operation is carried out fromone end of the roomto the other to remove internal contamination.
The machine can wash one item every 14 seconds andwash two items per cycle.
The machine is compact and can be easily integrated into a production cell, as it is only 700 mm wide.
The robotic system allows for easy access to and retrieval of the injectors, which efficiently optimizes part placement and retrieval operations.
