Cleaning a Tubular Heat Exchanger

Degreasing prior to surface treatment

Project specifics

A French heat pump manufacturer sought MecanoLav’s expertise for cleaning tubular heat exchangers.

This project involved degreasing parts that could be over one meter tall. The goal was to effectively clean several parts of various sizes and ensure they dried completely.

Autonomous & Effective Cleaning Process

The cleaning process is fully automated and features a closed-loop washing cycle with continuous filtration.

The machine is equipped with a selector switch that allows you to choose from three different cycles [short, medium, and long].

Its spray nozzle is fixed, and the tray rotates, allowing the entire surface of the part to be degreased.

Environmental Specifications for the Equipment

The machine’s cabin and door are insulated to prevent heat loss.

A condenser is installed to recover water from the machine’s vapors.

A coalescing oil separator separates oil from water, which helps extend the service life of the cleaning fluid in the bath.
