Cleaning of TRV Exhaust Casings

Cleaning machine in the aeronautics sector

Project specifics

An aeronautics company asked MecanoLav to supply and design a casing cleaning machine for TRV exhaust casings. The objectives: design a machine for degreasing suited to different cleanliness classes according to the requirements of each part, and adapt the tooling for optimal cleaning of each part between operations (disassembled / assembled). The parts cleaned are disassembled sectors, assembled sectors and final assembled sectors.

Versatile cleaning: customized cleanliness criteria

The machine includes one washing bath and 3 rinsing baths, two of them with demineralized water, so that cleaning can be adjusted to the requirements of each part. A reverse osmosis unit ensures the purity of the water in rinsing baths 2 and 3, with a conductivity below 200 µS/cm, guaranteeing process repeatability and cleaning quality.

Customized stations and tooling

Three types of spray bars are used: upper bars for disassembled sectors, upper bars with rotation for assembled sectors and on-board nozzles for the part. Fixture pallets are designed for each cleaning step (unassembled sectors / assembled sectors), with specific tooling integrated into the fixtures for specific cleaning steps.
