MecanoLav is taking a decisive step in its environmental approach by rolling out a global strategy to optimise its resources. This is made possible by the essential support of France Relance and the Normandy Region, in partnership with the Communauté de Communes de Neufchâtel-en-Bray.
Three major projects have been carried out to combine industrial performance with respect for the environment.
Our triple commitment to the environment
All of these initiatives, supported by our institutional partners, are part of our CSR policy aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and making the most of local resources.
LED lighting installation
To reduce our electricity consumption and improve working comfort, we have replaced all of our lighting with low-energy LED fixtures.
- Annual saving of 2,600 kWh
- Significant reduction in energy demand and emissions
Responsible water management
MecanoLav is investing in an evaporation and recovery system for the wastewater generated by our processes. The goal is twofold: to preserve the resource and limit pollution.
- Installation of an evaporator to reduce water and soil pollution
- Achieving a reduction of 0.5 tonnes of washing effluent discharged per year
- Optimisation of recovery tanks for reuse in a closed loop
Local solar energy production
At the same time, we are committed to producing part of our energy directly on site. With the help of the Normandy Region and the Communauté de Communes de Neufchâtel-en-Bray, we are installing a photovoltaic power plant.
